Bold designs inspired by European traditions are the themes behind Wade Logan furniture items. Sleek and modern home furnishings that give your home a feeling of tradition and majesty are the fashion of the day, and this chest of drawers, in combination with rugs in fanciful prints or accentuating furniture with ultra-modern and glossy lines, will ensure that the design of the drawers is one that provides your home with storage options that are flexible, versatile, and affordable.
This chest of drawers comes with 5 drawers, and can be used by children, adults, and everyone in-between. Levelers are included, and the drawer slides are made of metal. The bottom of each drawer is cardboard, and the drawers themselves are removable.
Made of manufactured wood (specifically, particle board with paper foil finish), the Hatboro chest comes with a tipover restraint strap system. This item is made in Denmark, and it does not come with a mirror. Assembly is required as well.
With regards to the country of manufacture, bear in mind that this item does not have the same overall quality or prestige rating as other well-known Scandinavian brands (notably the likes of IKEA). It is made by a European manufacturer, but the quality leaves much to be desired (you can read more about these issues in the pros and cons sections below).

If you are interested in buying protection for this item, you can purchase a pretty comprehensive protection plan for $11.99 that covers accidental stains, incidental damage, unintentional stains, rips, tears, burns, punctures, chips, dents, and water rings. Customers who purchase a protection plan are covered for the above-mentioned damages as soon as their drawers are delivered. However, all customers should keep in mind that damage caused by neglect, improper care, intentional abuse, a failure to comply with the manufacturer’s warranty, or as a result of using the drawers for purposes other than their intended purpose of storage are not covered.
This item generally delivers unbelievably quickly, that too in a condition of no damage. There are no written instructions, only visual ones which take a little bit longer to figure out. No problems putting it together for most people, though, because understanding the diagrams is pretty easy. The most time-consuming part was separating all of the small pieces (screws, fasteners etc.), but the end product looks really nice. The drawers work properly and as they should. This item will definitely fit your general storage needs.
Despite intuitively straightforward assembly diagrams, some customers did not give this product a perfect 5-star rating because they found the instructions to not be 100% clear, especially on the following two issues: you have to guess that the ‘square’ 3x means glue packets and the assembly of the bottom section require only two wooden studs on each side and not four as it seems when looking at the holes on the board. Some people inserted four on a side only to find that the holes were not the same size, just a little smaller.
In general, this is pretty decent room in the drawers and it does not take up too much space, which is especially important for people who live in small, cramped, or limited living spaces. It comes delivered in two packages and looks a little intimidating from an assembly-burden point of view, but the end result is rewarding. Good size, true to the picture online, and worth the price.
Some people felt that the instructions were unnecessarily complicated, and that there were way too many pieces for a simple chest of drawers. Assembly without written instructions was an added challenge for these folks. One couple purchased this dresser for their daughter to take to her college apartment, and they were shocked to find so many pieces and parts in the two delivery boxes that this product comes in. Further, they felt that the material used in construction is substandard, and they said it was particle board junk.
Other purchasers went ahead and bought this item thinking that it was a throwback item from the quality of IKEA products of the 80s. It is advertised as wood, but the price should give away the fact that this chest of drawers is actually made of particle board and not wood. Also, there are sometimes missing pieces in shipment. There were also some issues with returns and issues with refund deductions, which is somewhat of a shame, especially since this is such a low-price item to begin with.
Finally, the construction is somewhat cheap, the photos are somewhat misleading, and the product is somewhat smaller than what the images may suggest. Make sure to check the dimensions before you buy. It is literally probably better suited to be a dresser for a child, which is great if that is what you are looking to buy. The drawers are shallow, and you get what you pay for.
Dressers are unique furniture items. You use them daily, but even when they are used, they are not used for very long, in the way that a bed or a sofa or a chair can be used for hours on end. In this way, dressers, cabinets, tables, and nightstands are a different class of bedroom furniture. They need to be sturdy to survive regular use, they need to be functional, the need to meet certain depth and size parameters, and they need to last for a long time (usually, not always).
With this item, you are purchasing a dresser from a European manufacturer, and probably expect a great deal of quality and refinement. However, don’t be surprised if you end up with a product that has a number of delivery nicks and scratches, or drawers that cave in with weight, or handles and drawer fronts that come off after a few weeks of use. These are all major drawbacks, and they have indeed happened to various customers, but these are still the exceptions, not the norm. With hundreds of units sold, and with a user rating that is overall positive, this item should do the trick for most users. The materials are not totally cheap, and with metal gliders, decent color options, a price point that is not too high, and with international brand recognition, this item is worth the money for mid to low-budget buyers.
In short, the bottom line for this item is that it looks nice, but the quality is slightly poor. However, quality issues are somewhat expected for an item in the sub-$300 price range. If you want a sturdy, long-term item, perhaps look for something else to buy, but if you want an eye-pleaser that you can afford to replace or dispose of after a short stint of use, this item is as good as and beautiful as any.
